We wanted to say thank you to all who sent love our way yesterday for Preslee’s Birthday. Many said they prayed the twins would be easy, and guess what, they were! Thank you.
Yesterday went well, I had to smile when the power went out in the morning. During Preslee’s 1st Birthday party, the power went off and we ate Birthday cake in the dark, it was a sweet reminder that brought back memories. I had a friend stop by with some treats, another friend sent an ornament of a carousel horse to match the picture we love so much of Preslee on the carousel. Incredibly thoughtful.
At 5:30 pm, all three sets of parents met our family at the cemetery to release balloons. We bought 5 floating lanterns, and could not get them to work… bummer, but in the end I had to laugh, it seems like it fit our life perfectly… chaos. Instead, we released the balloons Ledger picked out to send to Preslee, he was incredibly sweet about it. Each one he sent off, he said, “Happy Birthday, or Wub you Preslee!”
After, we all went to Big Judds, a restaurant just down the road. They are known for their huge hamburgers, and Ledger ate about a lb. of fries. Ledger loved the attention from all of his grandparents, and Pat and I loved all the extra hands to help out.
The day still hurt, but all of your love made our day a little sweeter. Thank you for the texts, messages, and all you who spent the day RAK’ing people in honor of Preslee. We couldn’t be more grateful.
