Two and Half

Two year old

Due to being a slow talker, Ledger was extremely frustrated all summer long. He was constantly throwing fits, and we found ourselves in the thick of the terrible twos. Just after the babies were born, something clicked, and his vocabulary came in all at once. He went from not speaking, to suddenly singing his ABC’s and counting to ten practically over night. Once he learned to communicate, he turned into a pretty sweet little boy. (We’re still working on pushingSmile) And as of right now, I can honestly say even amongst the tantrums, this might be one of my favorite stages, I love being able to get inside his quirky little head. Here’s a little glimpse of what we love -

 Two year old

Every morning, he patiently waits in bed until we come and get him. We’ve told him time and time again that he can come out, but he patiently waits…even if the babies are crying. Once I walk in, he jumps up and yells, “Momma, I wake up!” He runs to the front room and exclaims, “Mom, I sit on the chair, oookay?” He usually asks to watch “Cars 1” and “Milk in a cup pwease!” Then our bottomless pit will usually ask for “Cancakes, eggs, sausage, oh, and toast too!” The kid can definitely eat.

He loves his brothers, and rarely acts out against them. His new thing is to say,  “Momma, I make the babies happy, oookay?” Then he’ll climb right on top of them and plant a big open mouthed kiss on each of their lips and exclaim, “Momma, Momma, I make them smile! Yay!” We’ve seriously been shocked at how nice he is to them.

Lately, he’s become pretty affectionate. He’ll say “I wub you.” Then kisses my arm or hand multiple times a day.

We love you sledge, couldn’t imagine life without you.  Even when you pull over your dresser while you’re supposed to be sleeping or in timeout. We still love you.
