We had such a great response to the water safety post. Tiffany wrote a great post yesterday, make sure to check it out. I was excited when EIRMC, the hospital that first treated Preslee, e-mailed me and asked if they could share the printable. We feel like it’s really circulating, (Thank you to those who shared it) and hoping to help save a few kids from drowning this summer.
Speaking of summer, I hadn’t realized it had been an entire week since I last posted! Oops. We have spent every second that we could outside. We are beyond thrilled it is warm outside.
This took place at my parent’s house. I busted up laughing when my mom sent me this picture.
Definitely Idaho Redneck style.
We gave Ledger his Birthday present a month early. I’m more than ready to help him burn off a little energy during the day. I was beyond thrilled to realize I have an outdoor play pen. No escaping babies!
We opened the Sno Shack this week. Yay! That’s what’s taken most of our time. We had a great opening day, and am looking forward to a fabulous summer. All of our employees returned from last year, which I’ve never had before. I think it will help the shack run more smoothly. We bought a new shaver! We’re hoping that will speed things up. And my child who doesn’t eat sweets, actually tried a sno cone. I was thrilled! I know I should be happy with how healthy the kid is, but c’mon, his parents own a Sno Shack and is probably the only child in the world hasn’t tried one. Ha He’s never had ice cream either, so the cold was a little overwhelming for him.
If you’ve ever lost someone, you understand how difficult it becomes to function. After Preslee passed away, we kind of stopped focusing on our huge back yard. We did bare minimum, and after a few years, we’ve decided it’s time to get it back in shape. We’ve spent a lot of time doing yard work, and we’ve also decided to grow our first garden. Wish us luck!
Pat trimmed all the trees, and here’s to hoping our pear tree produces a ton of fruit!
And I like to call these two boys Seek and Destroy. They are in to EVERYTHING. I’m amazed at the havoc the two can create. I’ve had to purchase a couple of extra baby gates. They’ve spent their days outside bear crawling because they hate the grass, and eating dandelions…
I’m sure I sound like a broken record, but since taking Cannon Ball and Cruizer off of milk, life has been amazing. I haven’t taken one day for granted.
Here’s to a summer filled with sno cones and days spent outside.
