Iapologize for the background, my designer got hacked, and she’s working on it!
How Far Along? 29 Weeks 5 days.
Stretch Marks: Yes.. I want to cry, but I know they are pretty much inevitable with twins. They literally showed up over night. My stomach is stretching so much it’s continually itchy! Has anyone found something that works for that?
Miss Anything? Being able to pick up after Ledger easily. Today I found myself sitting on the floor in his room scooting around throwing everything I needed to pick up into the new crib. Once the floor was clean, I stood up and pulled everything out of the crib without bending over. I’ve got all sorts of tricks for doing things these days.
Symptoms: A lot of braxton hicks, left rib hurts, and extremely large belly
Gestational Diabetes (GD): This week went so much better than the first. The Dr. took me off all white carbs, like white rice, white bread, white pasta, etc. My numbers were right on track, which means no meds for me. Thanks for all the advice on walking, exercise makes a huge difference with my numbers.
Baby Update: Things definitely changed this week. I went from feeling pretty great, to extremely pregnant. Monday, while I was on a walk with Ledger, I felt intense pressure between my legs as if the baby suddenly dropped, strong braxton hicks, and some cramping. Once I got home I took a warm bath, continued to feel horrible, went to bed early, and experienced a sleepless night.
I had my appointment the next morning, where they used the ultrasound machine to measure my cervix. It showed that my cervix has shortened. I’m right on the border of, so they are concerned. I was told to take it EASY, and am not supposed to do much of anything, so it looks like Ledger and I will be hanging around home from here on out.
During the ultrasound it showed Baby A extremely low, which explains the extreme pressure I’m feeling and why it’s uncomfortable to walk. Hopefully everything will slow down and we can keep these babies cookin’ for quite a bit longer.
