How far along? 32 Weeks 4 Days

Movement:  Baby A has constantly had the hiccups, which pulses my bladder ALL.DAY.LONG. When trying to sleep, which ever side I’m laying on, the baby on the bottom will start squirming and kicking, and if often painful. Once I roll over, that one stops, and the other starts up. This cycle often wakes me up.

Sleep: Sleep? What sleep? Suddenly I struggle sleeping more than a few hours at a time, and by about 3 AM, I am wide awake. I’ve been getting up multiple times each night to go to the bathroom. Chasing Ledger around doesn’t make it easy to take a nap. I’m afraid I’ve turned into a very exhausted ornery pregnant woman.

Best moment this week:  I had two – (1) I finally passed another kidney stone. (2) Dr. M delivers at Madison Memorial, which has a NICU set up to take care of babies 32 weeks and older. If I would have delivered before now, I would have had to deliver at a different hospital, with another doctor. I am now I’m safe to deliver at Madison. Yay!

Miss Anything?  Changing Ledger’s diaper without it being so difficult to get down on the ground and bend over.

Food cravings: Pretty much everything I’m not allowed to eat. I’m not eating much anymore, because there is very little room left. Matching carbs and proteins have become more difficult. For example, I was craving oatmeal, once I finished my one serving, I was too full to eat anything else. I had to gag a string cheese down afterward.

Symptoms:  Braxton Hicks are continually getting stronger. I feel like I went from being very uncomfortable to extremely miserable this week. I also have an extremely stretched out itchy stomach.

Looking forward to:  This week it actually hit that within a month we’ll have two baby boys in our arms. Until now, their arrival has seemed sooo far away, but suddenly reality hit, and I’ve become pretty anxious about juggling Ledger on top of two newborns. Pat says it’s about time it sinks in. Smile

Many people suggest twin moms begin packing their hospital bags at 32 weeks. I started making a list and hopefully will have things packed after this next week.
