On June 29th, Huntsman Springs put on one heck of a 4th of July celebration in Driggs, ID. This has become our favorite way to celebrate the 4th. My mom’s side, the Wightmans, held a family reunion earlier that day, but the three of us didn’t head up till dinner. I sat in a big comfy recliner and ate a great pulled pork sandwich, and did very little moving around.
Around 7:30 PM we drove to the golf course and Pat pushed Ledger in the stroller, carried everything, and I huffed and puffed and waddled through the crowd. I only heard a few comments directed towards the very pregnant lady, and noticed many wide eyed stares as I passed by.
The Beach Boys played before the fireworks which was AMAZING, and Lee Greenwood sang his famous song, “Proud to be an American” during the fireworks show.
It took us forever to get home, but it was well worth it.
It was a wonderful way to kick off the 4th!
